So, I sat through my first ever 4 hour church service yesterday.. which is all in creole! It was pretty difficult to pay attention. I have 4 awesome roommates that are all interns here and they are all great people! I am the youngest intern here, so sometimes that is challenging. The days are very long here and it is day in day out continuous work, so it really helps to have roommates that are going through the same thing. Yesterday was a great day of rest and we had an awesome break on Saturday to visit the waterfalls in Titanyen. Although the waterfall is probably only about 15 miles away, but it was an hour and a half drive up the mountain in a canter with 25 people! But it was definitely worth the ride when we Got there. It is so incredible to see Gods beautiful creation, and sometimes enjoying his creation is the best way to relax! Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God!"
Two of my roommates are sick and I guess there is a little something (sickness) going on here, but I totally believe that God is in control and He is the author of my body! "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident." Psalm 27: 1, 3. It would be awesome if you guys could be in prayer about health! The past few days have been difficult and it is incredibly easy to get discouraged and warn out, but I know that God is holding me up and when I get depleted, His love and joy will be new every morning!
Its kind of difficult to blog because I don't really know what all to tell you all! haha. I mean I want to tell yall everything but This would be an extremely long blog!! SO, if yall want to know anything or have any questions about what is going on, let me know because then I will have more ideas about what to blog about! haha. Okay, well I kinda feel like Im talking to myself now.. So Im going to go!
I hope you all are doing awesome! Love and miss you all!

Week 1- Day 7!
Hey everyone! I just want to say that it feels so good to talk to you all! haha. Even though I'm not really talking.. idk. haha. But everything is going great here! I love Haiti. SO many incredible things are happening everyday and it is so incredible. It is extremely difficult to get into words how truly incredible God is and also to explain what it is like here. I guess coming into Haiti, I had the mindset that it was going to be so different than America, but it is similar in ways. I mean, don't get me wrong it is extremely different but I guess what I'm trying to say is that God is still the same God in Haiti that He is in America. People are still people in Haiti and families are still families. The culture here is very different. Things that would be scary in America are just considered "regular" here. For instance: A man walking towards you with a machete isn't necessarily coming at you with a weapon, but more along the lines of a tool! And when a man asks if you are married.. yeah, that's really weird. But, despite all of the crazy stories that I could go on and on about, God is still THE incredible God.
God is working in so many different ways in my life. Lets call it "The Big Picture". It is so important to go through our day to day lives actually living a committed life to God. Have you ever wondered why it is so extremely hard to to devote everything in your life completely to God? Yeah, me too and it doesn't quite make sense as to why that is. I mean when you really break it down it all comes down to God. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it is so easy to get caught up in the little things that don't necessarily matter in the big picture that God has created. God is really challenging me to examine my heart this week and ask myself what is my focus, and what are my motives? Are my eyes constantly focused on Gods Will?
I think it is super crucial to have your vision set on Gods timing, Gods will, and Gods picture.
"God give me your eyes"
I miss you all so much and I seriously think about all of you all the time!! Thanks for all of your prayers! Love Yall!

Miami airport...
Hey everyone :) Well we are in the Miami Airport, and let me just say that is about 3 times the size of independence mall! haha. We found the gate, and now ready to board the plane to Haiti, but we still have 2 more hours! It is so incredible, I already feel God moving. It is such an incredible and consant feeling. I can just feel His arms around me and I feel so protected. I guess nerves are kinda getting to me, but honestly.. If my God is for me, then what can stand against? His love is so incredible, and it is the only thing that keeps me going! Besides Bradleys jokes.. haha. I am beyond excited to get there and see what it is like. I keep asking God to just prepare me for what Im about to see because I know that its going to be challenging. I just wish I could explain how God is working in my heart, but there are no words that could possibly even begin to explain what it is like.
Well I love you all and miss you all! Thanks for your support, keep praying :)

"This is the day that the Lord has made!"
"This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!" Psalms 118:24.
Today is the day! I am packed and ready to go. Well almost...Thank the Lord for my mom and sister, without them my room would still be a disaster! Everything is in my suitcases now, but I still have to go get some groceries. I just weighed my suitcase and it is 7 punds over :/ Not good! We will have to fix that! We are going to stay in Raleigh tonight because we have to be at the airport at 4:30 AM. Lucky me! haha.
I am so super stoked to see what God has in store and His plan for this internship. I have been in contact with my friends from Mission of Hope and we have all arrangements set, and someone will be there in Port au Prince waiting to pick me up!
I just want to thank you all again for all of your prayers, kind words and support! This is truely a blessing to be able to embark on this mission for God!
See you soon! :)
